Project Proposals + Grant Funding

Per the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), we are focusing on the following eight healthcare preparedness capabilities this year. All project proposals must relate to at least one of these capabilities.

  • Healthcare System Preparedness
  • Healthcare System Recovery
  • Emergency Operations Coordination
  • Fatality Management
  • Information Sharing
  • Medical Surgery
  • Responder Safety and Health
  • Volunteer Management

Funded projects so far this fiscal year include:

  • Base radios to enhance communication between hospitals and EMS services and between hospital campuses
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): PAPRs and hoods
  • Communications Board to be used with Incident Command
  • Go Packs for public health personnel
  • Electronic stethoscope to be used in a shelter environment
  • ID badge printer for quickly identifying volunteers and staff in an emergency shelter, search and rescue operation, or mass clinic
