Project Proposals + Grant Funding

Per the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), we are focusing on the following four capabilities this year. All projects, exercises, and educational opportunities must relate to at least one of these capabilities.

  • Foundation for Healthcare and Medical Readiness
  • Healthcare and Medical Response Coordination
  • Continuity of Healthcare Service Delivery
  • Medical Surge

Projects completed or in progress this fiscal year include:

  • Scholarships for NWWIHERC members to attend regional conferences and training
  • 15 Pediatric Mass Casualty Kits to be distributed to EMS, Air Medical, and hospitals throughout the region
  • Multi Victim Trauma Bags-Available to borrow for your local music festival, community celebration or other large gatherings
  • WISCOM radio training and technical assistance for hospitals
  • A cache of tourniquets for every hospital and Community Health Clinic in the region
  • Support and Training for healthcare partners new to the CMS Emergency Preparedness Standard
  • Regional training on topics such as:
    Crisis Emergency Risk Communication
    Volunteer Receptions Centers
    ICS 101 for CMS Partners
    Family Assistance Center Training
    Public Information Officer Training
    Functional Assessment Support Team Training
